Win iPod Shuffles and a VIP press pass to the UK’s most diverse music festival plus the chance to write for 4Talent.

Over the years, the West Midlands has produced some of the UK’s most innovative music talents: from Spiritualized and The Streets to Led Zeppelin and Ozzy Osbourne via Apache Indian and DJ Yoda – the scene continues to be nothing if not diverse. And with Gigbeth, the UK’s most diverse music festival, coming to venues across Birmingham’s thriving creative epicentre, Digbeth, from 1-3 November 2007, new and established acts from the West Midlands and beyond will be gathering for three days of gigging mayhem.

To celebrate the festival, we’ve teamed up with Gigbeth to offer three lucky winners the chance to win a brand new iPod shuffle, pre-loaded with the best of the Midlands music scene. Top prize, for those aspiring music critics out there, is not only one of the three iPods, but a press pass to Gigbeth offering VIP access to 20 Birmingham venues, so you can gig to your heart’s content, plus the chance to write up the festival for Channel 4 online on the 4Talent West Midlands site.

To enter, simply tell us who your favourite Midlands act of all time is and why, in no more than 150 words. They don’t have to be famous, or from any particular genre – it’s your critique of why they rock your world that we’re interested in. We’re looking for quality writing, so have a look around the 4Talent site (http://www.channel4.com/4talentwm) for the kind of tone and style you might want to use.

Visit http://www.gigbeth.com/  for line up announcements and ticket information.

To enter, you can either write to Gigbeth Competition, TEN4, Progress Works, Heath Mill Lane, Birmingham B9 4AL, or email win@ten4magazine.com  with the subject ‘Gigbeth.’

Closing Date: 1st October
