EbOY
Steffen Sauerteig, Svend Smital and Kai Vermehr are the team behind EbOY, the Berlin-based collective who create re-usable pixel objects and use them to build complex and extensible artwork. Their client list would surely make Charles Saatchi weep, if he weren’t himself on it. That’s alongside such global powerhouses as Coca Cola, Adidas, Amazon and Microsoft, as well as Paul Smith, The Guardian and The New York Times.

Ian Anderson
Ian founded The Designers Republic in 1986 as a ‘declaration of independence from the existing design community.’ He made his name designing innovative record covers for Warp Records, with the CD sleeve for Don’t Get Mad… Get Even voted one of Q Magazine’s 100 Best Record Covers of All Time. Other clients include Sony, Orange, Nokia and Coca Cola, whose Love Being campaign was launched as the European arm of a global marketing push.

Shane Walter
Shane co-founded onedotzero in 1997, and last year saw the tenth annual festival with an audience of over 10,000. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. onedotzero has a worldwide audience of millions, forming part of 60 international festivals, a cross-media production company and an acclaimed network of international events. In 2005 Shane was named one of the top ten visionaries of the UK film industry by Screen International, alongside the likes of Ridley Scott and Chris Nolan.

Speakers at the Inspiration Session on Advertising are confirmed…

Friday 27th April 2007
9.30am

Confirmed speakers include:

Ben Walker
Ben started his career at Leo Burdett back in the late ’80s, and since then has worked at Simons Palmer, Clemmow Johnson and TBWA before moving to his current company, Wieden + Kennedy. He is creative director for Lurpak and Visit Wales, and was also part of the team that won four silver pencils, two Cannes Golds, three One Show Golds and a Best in Show award for Honda’s Cog.

Danny Kleinman
Danny started his career as an illustrator, before moving into the music video industry in 1983 and subsequently working with artists such as Madonna and Fleetwood Mac. In 1995 he was chosen to replace Maurice Binder as the regular James Bond title designer, and has produced title sequences for the last five Bond movies, including Casino Royale. His recent work has been mainly in the sphere of advertising, where he has scooped top awards at Cannes, D&AD, the New York One Show, BTAA, Clio, Creative Circle, Midsummer Awards and many others. His clients have included Guinness, Levis, Adidas and Sony PlayStation.

Ed Robinson
Ed co-founded the Viral Factory back in 2000, on the back of a $10,000 video of a man inflating a raft and meeting a rather unfortunate end. Within three months the video had been seen by 500,000 users, and the concept of viral marketing was born. Since then he has worked on award-winning adverts for Ford, Remington and Lynx, whose Ravenstoke viral advert has been viewed over 10 million times.

Richard Burdett
Richard heads up 4Creative, Channel 4’s in-house communications company that has produced award-winning brand identities for leading programmes such as Lost, Desperate Housewives, Green Wing and Shameless. Before that, Richard was based at Saatchi & Saatchi.
